One of the most beautiful beer gardens with a wonderful view. The food is delicious at reasonable prices. If only it wasn't for this arrogant, completely uncritical guy in this place. We only know him in a bad mood. Had he been employed, he would certainly have been fired. So he has to be the tenant. I / we still mourn the former tenant. She always had a nice word or a smile. 2 stars only because the view is great and the price-performance ratio is right. The host is rated with -2 stars.

Cake, black beer and hot drinks are excellent. Next time they'll try lamb at dinner or lunchtime, very tempting menu with reasonable prices

When the weather is nice, you have to bring your time, as the bar was a bit chaotic. Overall a nice afternoon. The restaurant is actually great and we like to go there - unfortunately you have to realize that in Corona times there is an official mask requirement up to your own table, but this is observed by fewer and fewer guests. Even at the outside counter, where orders have to be made, the staff does not pay attention to the mask requirement. Although there is an attendance list, no one pays attention to filling it out. There is also an increasing number of women to be found walking to the toilets without masks. Neither the landlord nor employees pay attention to compliance with hygiene regulations. The menus are unfortunately partly dirty and the tables are only poorly cleaned after the visit.

Everything is good, except for the gentlemen at the self-service order counter (boss / owner?). Unfriendly. Arrogant. Obviously unable to communicate with guests in a normal, friendly tone. Been there several times. The same picture without exception! A real shame.

Beautiful location. Great atmosphere. Delicious food and fair prices. The friendliness of the staff still needs to be worked on but otherwise absolutely worth a trip.

After a round of mountain biking, I very much like to stop by in the beer garden of the tavern and enjoy the view and the relaxed atmosphere. Also very nice: afterwards it goes mainly downhill on all sides.

Unfortunately, we only had to eat after half an hour and after several inquiries noticed that when ordering at the cash register, three table waters were apparently typed in instead of another roast lamb. The answer was that we should have looked at our note ourselves (we had ordered and paid for drinks half an hour beforehand). We got the last meal after all, the nice gentleman with the gray hair from the cash register (possibly the owner) came to our table again, put two crumpled bills on the table and left after an ironic remark. In summary, we paid three table water instead of a roast lamb and thus about € 5 less, but unfortunately we had to unnecessarily discuss with the cashier staff and were also unable to eat together. Too bad that a simple mistake is not seen here, especially since the food tastes very good and all the young staff have apologized for the situation.

Here I can only award 3 stars today. The food was average but adequate for the price. What surprised me was the fast delivery of food not 10 minutes. Unfortunately the friendliness was lost somewhere at the bar. Otherwise, I am thrilled by the atmosphere.

The beer garden in the Butzental is an ideal destination. It is very close to Ulm and can be reached on foot or by bicycle via a forest path. Parking is also available. Outside is self-service. As it is a Barfüßer beer garden, the prices are not cheap. But the quality is right.

Good to visit with your entire family. Children like watching horses walking nearby, very nice view to the valley, fresh air thanks to the forest. Very good famous Barfüsser beer, small but good selection of food; also options for vegetarians.

Average Swabian biergarten food in a nice location in the countryside. If you are in the weststadt, soflingen or kuhberg neighborhoods then this place is a nice hike destination on a nice day.
